==== NEW THURSDAY NET SCHEDULE ====

In an effort to simplify the net schedule and boost participation, the following changes have been made for the Thursday evening schedule:

  * One net per week
  * All nets moved to 7 PM / 1900

Here is the revised [[:nets|net]] schedule:

  * First Thursday: Swap Net, hosted by Nick KI6RIT
  * Second Thursday: [[https://w6mmm.club|Willits Amateur Radio Society]] Meeting Net
  * Third Thursday: Trivia Net, hosted by Mike KC6MGM
  * Fourth Thursday: Emergency Communications Practice Net, hosted by Mike KC6MGM
  * Fifth Thursday (if there is one): Nothing currently scheduled

==== FIELD DAY 2025 RESULTS ====

Field Day was held on Saturday, June 28th and Sunday, June 29th this year. Roughly two dozen hams and visitors came by during the event. There was much discussion and many questions answered on a wide range of ham radio topics, experimentation with new and existing antennas, and many contacts as a result. Here's the statistics:

Total contacts: 222

  * Voice mode contacts: 146
  * Digital mode contacts: 76

Contacts by band

  * 40 meters: 151
  * 20 meters: 34
  * 15 meters: 37

Geography

  * States and provinces worked: 46
    * US: 212 contacts total
    * Canada: 9 contacts total

==== JUNE 2025 TEST SESSION RESULTS ====

On Saturday, June 21st, a test session was held in Lakeport. Of the three people that tested, one earned their technician-class license and one upgraded to general-class.
